Purchase-to-Pay closing event in Hamburg

Oct. 2013

On October 30 AFI’s 2013 road show ended in Hamburg. During the fully booked event the potential customers could see through live presentations how companies can implement the transparent and accelerated processing of purchase requisitions and incoming invoices.

With a strong emphasis on practical application, the sales team demonstrated how a purchase requisition is definitely not arriving “maverick“ in the purchase department. As soon as the requisition arrives, the purchaser can place the order directly because the requisition has certainly been approved via the electronic workflow of the software DirectPurchaseControl.

After, with or before receipt of the goods, the company will receive an invoice for the goods and services supplied. In this context the presentation lead to the automated processing of incoming invoices with DirectInvoiceControl.

Among the processing of traditional paper invoices, the invoices coming in electronically were discussed primarily. Through the German Law of Simplifying Tax, EDI- or PDF-invoices are accepted which reach the company via e-mail for example. A qualified, digital signature is no longer necessary. The requirements and conditions can be referred to once again in the trade magazine DOK.

Thomas Rundel, AFI’s sales manager, sums up the 2013 road show: “This year our interested parties could even inform themselves totally free of charge in five German cities on the optimization opportunities in their company and document processes. In conclusion I can say that it has once again been a very successful event series. Our guests always confirmed that they greatly benefited from the many insightful information.
