Which of your data will be processed by us? And for what purposes?
We process the data you have sent us in connection with your application in order to assess your suitability for the position (or other open positions in our company if applicable) and to carry out the application process.
On what legal basis is data processing based?
Legal basis for the processing of your personal data in this application process is principally Art. 26 Federal Data Protection Act in the version applicable since 25 May 2018. Pursuant to this, the processing of data required in connection with deciding on the establishment of an employment relationship is admissable.
Should the data be required for legal prosecution after completion of the application process, data processing may be carried out on the basis of the requirements of Art. 6 GDPR, in particular for the purpose of safeguarding legitimate interests pursuant to Art. 6 (1) f) GDPR. Our interest then consists in the assertion or defense of claims.
For how long is the data stored?
Data of applicants will be deleted after 6 months in case of rejection.
If employment is granted, the data will become part of the personnel records.
To whom is the data passed?
After receiving your application, your applicant data will be reviewed by HR. Suitable applications are then forwarded internally to the responsible parties in the respective department. Further procedures are coordinated with these persons. In principle, only those persons in the company have access to your data who require it for the proper conduct of our application process. In addition, the data can be viewed by the management.
We use specialized software for the application process. If necessary, the manufacturer of the software may also obtain knowledge of your personal data in connection with the maintenance and care of the systems. We have concluded a so-called order processing agreement with this provider, which ensures that data processing is carried out in a permissible manner.
Where is the data processed?
We process your personal data exclusively in data centers in the Federal Republic of Germany.
Your rights as data subject
You have the right to information about your personal data processed by us.
In the case of a request for information not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may then require proof that you are the person you claim to be.
Furthermore, you have a right to correction, deletion or restriction of the processing, insofar as you are legally entitled to do so.
In addition to it, you have a right to object to the processing within the limits of statutory provisions. The same applies to a right of data transferability.
